US wants central Delhi lockdown, Delhi-Agra highway sanitised for Obama visit

Just in: The US also wants a lockdown of central Delhi. The US advance security team wants all of central Delhi to to be closed for US president Obama's visit. The Obamas are in India from January 25 to 27, but US secret service has asked Indian security agencies to sanitise all government buildings by January 24 and close down areas of central Delhi.

The United States aims to secure agreements with India to start pilot projects for joint production of drones as well as equipment for transport planes in talks next week ahead of a visit by President Barack Obama, a US industry source said on Wednesday.
