Major political parties in the capital including the BJP, the Aam Aadmi Party and the Congress exuded confidence of getting a 'majority' in the Delhi Assembly elections, the date of which was announced by the Election Commission today.

The EC announced the much-awaited Delhi assembly polls schedule, according to which voting would be held on February 7 and counting of votes on February 10.

"From the first day, the BJP has been very confident of winning Assembly polls. From January 14, our candidates will start filing nominations. We will go among the people with full energy and seek their support in the forthcoming polls," Delhi BJP in-charge Praveen Kapoor said.

Laying emphasis on its 'blueprint' for the Delhi's development, the AAP said that the party will be rewarded for its 'positive campaign'.
