Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his address at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit in Gandhinagar thanking the Secretary-General of the UN Ban Ki-Moon and President of World Bank Jim Yong (both present at the event) .

"The response to the event has been outstanding. India has always believed the world is one big family. We're here as a family because someone's dream is dependent on someone's direction. Today more that 100 nations are under one roof. This is a meeting of hearts, aspirations and ideas. The ultimate objective is the welfare of all."
