Charlie Hebdo attack: Suspect Said Kouachi trained by Al Qaeda: Report

The New York Times reports: One of the two brothers who attacked the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris killing 12 people traveled to Yemen in 2011 and received terrorist training from Al Qaeda's affiliate before returning to France, says a senior American official.

The suspect, Said Kouachi, 34, spent "a few months' training in small arms combat, marksmanship and other skills that appeared to be on display in videos of the military-style attack on Wednesday. Both French and American officials were aware that Kouachi had trained in Yemen.
