Yograj Singh, the father of Yuvraj Singh who is not a part of the 15-member squad for the World Cup reacts: "There is nothing to be disheartened. BCCI shouldn't be condemned. I salute Yuvraj Singh, a person who hs survived cancer is playing this well; it is commendable."

Youngsters Axar Patel, Stuart Binny and Ambati Rayudu got the nod but veteran Yuvraj Singh failed to make the cut in India's 15-member squad for the forthcoming ICC ODI World Cup, starting next month in Australia-New Zealand.

Yuvraj had made his case for a comeback with three consecutive centuries for Punjab in the Ranji Trophy but the Indian selectors, who met in Mumbai, decided against recalling the left-hander, who had played a big role in India's World Cup triumph in 2011.

India will begin its title defence against traditional rivals Pakistan in a high-voltage clash in Adelaide on February 15.
