Jintendra Singh, Minister of State, in the Prime Minister's Office will meet Jammu and Kashmir Governor today N N Vohra on government formation in the state.

The BJP and PDP have been in talks over for formation of government in the state for over two months now. A new government is expected soon if the last-minute hurdles are cleared.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will now take a final call on the common minimum programme on the basis of which the two parties plan to govern Jammu and Kashmir, with the PDP's Mufti Mohammad Sayeed as chief minister, the NDTV reports. 

However, the date of Sayeed's meeting with the PM has not been fixed yet.
