Ferry runs aground off Elephanta Caves; 78 passengers rescued

A rescue operation has been launched after a ferry has run aground near the Elephanta island, off the Mumbai coast. The Indian Coast Guard has launched a helicopter service and hovercraft to help rescue the stranded passengers after the state government requested for aid. According to reports, 78 passengers have been rescued.
