Applications open for job at world's most remote post office in Antarctic

Looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life? Then this job may be for you -- but only if you can put up with the company of 2,000 'smelly' penguins.

Applications opened yesterday to run the world's most remote post office -- on Goudier Island in the Antarctic, where average temperatures are in the region of -10C.

Candidates are required to be able to 'carry a big heavy box over slippery rocks and slushy snow whilst dodging penguins', go a month without a shower and survive with no heating or running water.
