Nitish Kumar parades 138 lawmakers before President Mukherjee

Janata Dal-United's Nitish Kumar paraded 128 lawmakers before President Pranab Mukherjee this evening staking his claim to the Bihar government. He was accompanied by Mulayam Singh Yadav and Lalu Yadav who head allied parties.

"We have met the President and have told him that we enjoy a majority in Bihar. The President has assured us that he will look into the matter," Nitish Kumar said.

"BJP ka game-plan pareshaan hai, bahumat idhar hai,' says Nitish Kumar.

"We met the President and told him we have the majority in Bihar," Nitish added.

"We want no deliberate delay in the matter. The delay has been encouraging horse-trading. We have told the Bihar governor the same thing three days ago," Nitish asserted.
