Tharoor tweets: Afzal Guru hanging wrong, badly handled

In what is likely to invite a rap on the knuckles for Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, the Thiruvananthapuram MP has now tweeted that the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru two years ago was "wrong and badly handled." Guru was hanged two years ago, today.
His tweet has the potent of embarrassing the Congress since it was in power at the time.
"I think the hanging was both wrong &badly handled. Family should have been warned, given a last meeting & body returned," Tharoor, tweeted today.
