BJP govt likely to reject 14th Finance Commission report

The BJP government is likely to reject the 14th Finance Commission report. The report was not tabled in Parliament during the winter session and with the constitution of the Niti Aayog and a conflict of views emerging about central sponsored schemes not being handled by the Aayog.

Given this backdrop, official circles in North Block, the Union Cabinet in will find go-between and reject the report of YV Reddy.

Reddy who? The recommendations of the commission have been put together by former RBI governor Y V Reddy.
