A veteran of anti-insurgency operations, Head Constable Sanjewan Singh was martyred with Colonel M N Rai in Kashmir last month. His WhatsApp message posted 48 days ago read: 'It was my duty to shoot the enemy, and I don't regret it. My regrets are for the people I could not save: Soldiers, buddies, innocents, etc.' He leaves behind a pregnant wife and a three-year-old son.
