BJP on north-east 'immigrants': Deeply regret the mistake

BJP senior leader Ravi Shankar Prasad makes a statement on the Delhi vision document that uses the word 'immigrants' while referring to people from north-east states.

Prasad says, "The inadvertent mistake has been corrected by reprinting the chapter of Vision document in relation to our north eastern people. We have always walked an extra mile to ensure their protection. BJP has firmly believed our north-eastern brothers and sisters are proud citizens of India. The word 'immigrants' for north-easterns was a printing error. BJP deeply regrets for the mistake."
