Veterinary report confirms it was goat meat in Akhlaq's home

Just in: Meat taken from Mohammad Akhlaq's home was that of a goat. Veterinary department report confirms it. Forensic lab tests also being conducted on the meat.

On September 29, Akhlaq was dragged out of his home and stoned to death on a village street after a public announcement from the local temple that the family had slaughtered a calf and eaten its meat.

The family members of Akhlaq had also claimed that there was no beef, but the mob did not listen to them.
