Lashkar plot to assassinate Omar Abdullah foiled in the nick of time

Pakistani-American terrorist Muzammil Butt alias Abu Hurera's plot to assassinate then Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah was foiled in the nick of time. Mumbai attacks conspirator David Coleman Headley's handler Muzammil had made an elaborate plot to assassinate Omar with a help of local university lecturer, soon after the 26/11 carnage.

The senior Lashkar-e-Tayiba commander was a key 2008 Mumbai attacks plotters and handler of Pakistani-American David Coleman Headley. Security agencies got a whiff of the operation just two days before he could execute it.
