Philippines wins Miss Universe 2015

After a mix-up, Miss Philippines Pia Wurtzbach was crowned Miss Universe 2015 on Sunday, December 20 (Monday, December 21 in Manila) at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas.

First runner-up was Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez -- who was first announced as the winner by host Steve Harvey. Second runner-up was Miss USA, Olivia Jordan.

Harvey said the mix-up in the announcement was a "horrible mistake" on his part.

The show was hosted by Emmy Award-winning TV personality and comedian Steve Harvey and actress Roselyn Sanchez.

It was judged by Emmitt Smith, Niecy Nash, Olivia Culpo, and Perez Hilton.

Miss India Urvashi Rautela failed to make it to top 15 semi-finals round.
