Liftoff! Asian markets rise after historic Fed decision

We have liftoff! Asian markets rose Thursday after the US Federal Reserve added one to the history books, announcing it would raise interest rates for the first time in nearly a decade. Japan's benchmark Nikkei led the way in morning trading, rising 2.3%. The ASX All Ordinaries gained 1.6%, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index was up around 1.3%. The Sensex and Nifty, in all probability will maintain their upward bias and open on a firm note Thursday, mirroring the trend seen in other Asian markets.
