Park Street rape: 3 convicts sentenced to 10 years in prison

The three convicts in the Park Street rape have been awarded 10 years imprisonment. On Thursday, the Kolkata high court had found 3 guilty of raping a mother of two teenaged daughters nside a moving car in the posh Park Street area in Kolkata more than three years ago.

In the verdict in the Park Street gang rape case where the woman later waived her right to anonymity, the accused were found guilty under sections 376 (2)(g) (gangrape), 120B (criminal conspiracy) 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention) of IPC, Chief Public Prosecutor Tamal Mukherjee said.
