On December 9, Sonia Gandhi will turn 69. The Prime Minister is likely to tweet his wishes and greet her inside the Lok Sabha by making a special mention of the day.
 

Sources tell us that all this is in response to Rahul Gandhi's insistence that the Centre interact with the opposition. And of course, a way of softening up the opposition to get the GST bill passed in the Rajya Sabha.


From Wednesday onwards, there will be an effort from the government to have a structured
debate with the Congress in Parliament, which will be assisted by Officials as well.


The first signs of a detente was spotted when Arun Jaitley went to Sonia and Rahul Gandhi's home to invite them to his daughter's wedding, which also coincidentally falls on Wednesday.

So, expect a very thin attendance in Parliamen as thne who's who of nationla politics heads to the Jaitley wedding.
