No charges on BSNL for a week in Chennai

Coming on the back of telecom major Airtel's special schemes to help customers in the flood-hit Chennai, telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, announced that there would be no charges on BSNL bills for one week in Chennai starting today. "We have decided that in case of non-payment of BSNL bill, there shall be no disconnection of the line. We are monitoring large towers and signal connections in Chennai."
