Just in: Mumbai police commissioner Rakesh Maria issues a statement on the Sheena Bora murder:

Sheena Bora was killed on 24th April 2012. She was strangulated and her body set on fire.

Her body was found on 23rd May 2012.

DCP South Kolkata police says:
Mumbai police approached us to help them arrest the accused. Accordingly a team was formed and with the input given, the accused was arrested. The accused will be produced in the Alipore court, Kolkata tomorrow
