Separatist leader Shabir Shah detained in Delhi

Just in: The Delhi police have detained separatist leader Shabir Shah. He has been taken into custody on his arrival at the airport. Shah came to Delhi to attend the reception to be held for Pakistan NSA Sartaz Aziz.

The top separatist leaders have received an invite from the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi for a reception being hosted in the honour of Aziz, who is scheduled to arrive in Delhi to hold talks with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval tomorrow.

The Pakistan High Commission's invitation to Geelani and other separatist leaders has upset New Delhi but Pakistan has stuck to the line that such meetings were"routine".
