Lifts can't carry people as fat as Amit Shah, quips Lalu

Rashtriya Janata Daj (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad on Friday mocked BJP chief Amit Shah after the latter was trapped in an elevator for almost 45 minutes in Patna. "A man as fat as Amit Shah shouldn't have entered Patna lift as Bihar lifts are not made to carry such fat people," news agency ANI quoted Lalu Prasad as saying.

BJP President Amit Shah and three other senior leaders were trapped in the lift of the state guest house here for around 40 minutes, throwing the security and party officials into a tizzy. He was ultimately rescued by CRPF personnel who were present there as part of his Z+ security cover.

They had to tear apart the steel doors of the elevator to pull out Shah and other leaders trapped inside.
