The First Lady's Bangladesh connect

On Independence Day, Saturday, Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had called President Pranab Mukherjee to inquire about the health of his wife Suvra Mukherjee, who has been undergoing treatment at a hospital in Delhi.

Suvra Mukherjee's ancestral home is in Bangladesh's Narhail district. She has been suffering from respiratory problems and was hospitalised on August 7.
