Shashi Tharoor's son Kanishk gets married

As India brought in its 69th Independence day, Kanishk Tharoor 'lost' his independence, or so his father Shashi Tharoor tweeted. "The groom sets out to lose his independence on Independence Day!" Tharoor posted on Twitter along with the newly wed couple's picture. Tharoor's son Kanishk Tharoor tied the knot with Amanda Calderon in New York. A Christian wedding took place at Grace Church in Manhattan on 15 August, while a Hindu wedding will be held in India in winter.
