Mukhtar Ahmad reports from Jammu: Pakistani troops once again violated the ceasefire on the International border in the Arnia and R S Pora sectors near Jammu, injuring a civilian.
A senior Border Security Force officer said the Pakistan Rangers 'resorted to unprovoked small arms fire initially and later 82 mm mortar bombs were also fired in the Arnia and R S Pora sectors' late Monday night.
"Five BSF outposts were targeted," he said.
The officer said the injured civilian, identified as Subhas Chander, was evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment.
"The firing started around 10 pm and continued whole night. The BSF troops retaliated the fire befittingly. There was no cross border firing since 5 am," he added.
