IRS cyberattack was 3 times worse than previously revealed

Hackers stole tax return information from 334,000 taxpayers, according to a new review.

The US Internal Revenue Service said Monday a hacking attack into one of its computer databases revealed in May was much more extensive than previously thought, with nearly three times as many taxpayers hit by data theft.
