The Congress Party on Saturday said it was disappointed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's reference to the issue of One Rank One Pension.

"I am totally disappointed to hear the PM speech about OROP. He says that our government is accepting OROP in principle," said former Defence Minister A K Antony.

Taking a jibe at the government for failing to implement OROP, Antony accused the government of betraying the armed forces veterans.

"PM is telling that (accepting OROP) for last 15 months, there is no need of accepting it, it has already been accepted by the previous government in the 2014 budget," Antony told media here.

"At least, he (PM) would have told today that we are accepting the OROP and we delayed it. He should have given a date on which the ex-servicemen would get the OROP," said the former defence minister.
