With the political temperature hotting up in Bihar ahead of the Assembly polls scheduled in the state for later this year, chief minister Nitish Kumar and RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav will hold a joint press conference today to announce the poll campaign to take on the BJP.

It will be their first joint press conference in Bihar. In April, Lalu and Nitish did address a joint presser, but it was in New Delhi, along with other leaders of the Janata Parivar. Nitish Kumar said he would be announcing a joint poll campaign at the presser today.

Lalu and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar have been sworn enemies till they forged an alliance a few months ago. The two are expected to address a rally on the 30th of this month in Patna, the same date that PM Modi will be addressing a rally in Bhagalpur. Nitish Kumar, 63, hopes to return as chief minister for a third consecutive term.
