PM Modi thanks Naga leaders after signing peace accord

After being presented a jacket by the Nagas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "The Naga political issue lingered for six decades, taking a huge toll on generations of people. I sincerely thank Isak Swu, Muivah and other Naga leaders for their wisdom and courage."

Modi added that he admired the Naga people for their extraordinary support to the peace efforts. "The Naga courage and commitment are legendary. Equally, they represent the highest levels of humanism."
