Child injured in crude bomb explosion in Kolkata

Two crude bombs went off around 9.30 am on Monday in North Kolkata's Tala Park area. The explosion injured a six-year-old child, who has been admitted to hospital in a critical condition. The child is a resident of the nearby slums. The bombs were hidden inside a few broken pipes.


A bomb disposal squad with sniffer dogs have reached the spot, police sources told Indrani Roy/Rediff.com. The entire area has been cordoned off.
