AAP, TMC to boycott Lok Sabha after Speaker suspends Cong members

As a measure of solidarity, members of the Aam Aadmi Party and the Trinamool Congress have decided to boycott Lok Sabha for 5 days -- the same amount of time that the Congress members have been suspended for.

Speaker of the Lok Sabha Sumitra Mahajan suspended 25 Congress members for persistently, wilfully obstructing" the House. The members were were carrying placards and shouting slogans in the Well while pressing for resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje over Lalit Modi row and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan over Vyapam scam.

After announcing the suspension, the Speaker immediately adjourned the house till Tuesday.
