BSF kills Pak intruder in Samba

A Pakistani national was killed in firing by BSF after he entered into the Indian territory from across the border in Basantar belt of Samba district in Jammu and Kashmir today.

"A Pakistani intruder wearing dark green clothes crossed the International Border at Border Pillar No. 189 near Chiliari border out post of BSF and came about 20 metres inside the Indian territory and reached near the fence," a police spokesman said.

Despite several warnings he did not stop, which prompted the BSF to open fire on him, the spokesman said. "He was killed on the spot and on his personal search several items were recovered," the spokesman said.

The recoveries included three identity cards which indicate his identity as Amanat Ali, 32, a resident of Rambri, Shakargarh, in Narowal district of Pakistan. 

"His identity card reveal that he was working in Sublime Soccer Pvt. Ltd at Daska Road, Sialkot as a stitcher," he said.
