Rahul wants to question Prasad, is overruled

Interestingly, Rahul Gandhi wanted to respond to IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad's reply to his intervention during Question Hour on net neutrality, but Speaker Sumitra Mahajan overrules him.

This is Question Hour, and not a question-answer session, this cannot be allowed, she tells Gandhi.

Following this, leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, pleads with the Speaker to please allow Gandhi to question the minister on his reply, following which Mahajan tells him that it cannot be.

'These rules have been made by the House, if you want to change them please write to the Rules Committee,' she tells him. If you want, you can raise this as a separate issue, she concludes, before letting the House move on to other topics.
