2 policemen arrested for killing of a youth in Budgam district

Two policemen have been arrested in connection with the killing of a youth in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Jammu and Kashmir government had ordered a magisterial probe into the killing of the youth in Budgam district earlier this evening.

The order comes after cops admitted that they violated Standard Operating Procedure, which led to the death of a teenager in Narbal earlier in the day.

Regretting the killing of the youth, the police spokesman added that preliminary enquiry conducted in the matter indicates that the forces deployed have acted in violation of the laid down SOP.
