India is destination No.17 for British tourists

Britain's Civil Aviation Authority has released the travel destination favoured by its fliers in 2014.

The good news is that India, with 27,39,969 tourists from the UK, features among the top 20 destinations.

The bad news is that it ranks as low as No. 17.

The consolation is that only three non-Continental destinations feature above India: USA at No. 2 (after Spain!), UAE (No. 8) and Canada (No. 14).
