India and Canada have agreed to elevate their bilateral relations to a strategic partnership.

Prime Minister Modi and his Canadian counterpart Stephen Harper on Wednesday held detailed discussions to assess the full spectrum of bilateral relations and exchanged perspectives on a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
