Malegaon blasts: SC relaxes MCOCA charges against Sadhvi Pragya, Col Purohit

The Supreme Court has asked a lower court to consider within a month, the bail plea of accused, including Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, in the 2008 Malegaon blasts case. The SC relaxes the MCOCA charges for bail against Sadhvi Pragya, Col Purohit etc. except for Rakesh Dhawade.

The Sadhvi is accused of hatching the conspiracy with others, which led to the September 29, 2008, blast at Malegaon in Nashik district in which six people died, after which she was arrested on October 23, 2008.

She is also an accused in the murder of RSS activist Sunil Joshi.
