Nawaz Sharif offers to fly out Indians rescued by Pak from Yemen

In gesture of goodwill, Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif, has offered to fly out 11 Indians rescued by Pakistan from Yemen. The 11 Indian citizens were among 35 foreign nationals who were rescued with 148 Pakistani citizens from the Ash Shihr port in Yemen on April 4.

India has evacuated over 3,000 of 4000 of its nationals from Yemen so far by air and sea and has now received requests for assistance in evacuation from 26 countries, including the US, Bangladesh, France, Germany, and Sri Lanka.

Yemen is witnessing continuing fighting between the Shia Houthi rebels and the Saudi Arabia-led coalition of 10 nations, which has launched air strikes in Yemen.
