BJP senior leader LK Advani is believed to be in a funk after he was not 'officially' invited for the party's foundation day celebrations on April 6. While Advani was invited through an SMS, it was a general one sent to all party workers.

It's a message that has been sent out to Advani -- retire from active politics.

The prize that awaits him (if he refrains from making statements) is the possibility of his elevation as President of India, but if he sulks, the BJP has decided to ignore him.

Senior leaders are also speculating that his daughter Pratibha is provoking her father (ably assisted by close confidant Deepak Chopra).

BJP sources say that Advani does not command the confidence of a single MP or National Executive member.

The question is will Advani finally bow out willingly?
