Hero judge jumps into lake, saves girl attempting suicide

A High Court judge in Chandigarh dived into the local Sukhna lake to save a teenage girl from drowning after she allegedly attempted suicide, police said.

The incident took place on March 30 when Justice M Jeyapaul (60) of the Punjab and Haryana High Court dived into the lake to save the 15-year-old girl after he noticed her drowning while he was on his routine morning walk. His security officer also jumped into the lake and the duo managed to save the girl.
