Yemen evacuations: IAF C-17 plane takes off for India with 168 passengers

INS Sumitra has left Djibouti for Al Hodeidah, a port city on the west coast of Yemen, Sitanshu Kar, Chief Spokesperson for Minsitry of Defence tweeted.

The INS ship is likely to reach the port before noon tomorrow, Kar informed.

Additionally, a C-17 aircraft of the IAF with 168 Indian nationals on board has taken off from Djibouti for Kochi.

The plane is expected to arrive in the wee hours of Thursday.
