PM lauded for move to construct memorial to P V Narasimha Rao

Lauding the services of former Prime Minister P V Narasimha Rao to the country, the Telangana BJP today hailed the Centre's proposal to construct a memorial to the departed leader in Delhi.

"The BJP's Telangana unit welcomes the decision of the central government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi to construct a memorial for former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao in Delhi," state BJP president G Kishan Reddy said in a statement.

"P V Narasimha Rao had a rich five decade-old experience in politics. He participated in the fight against the Nizam in Telangana and went on to become the first Prime Minister from South India. It is a matter of pride for Telangana people," Reddy said in the statement.
