Office boy suspected in teenage girl's killing

An 18-year-old girl was shot dead and her friend injured by an office boy of a residential school in Bengaluru, the police said.

The deceased is a second-year pre-university student at the school and was residing at the hostel, they said.

The incident took place last night and investigations are on, the police said, adding the boy is suspected to be a jilted lover.

Karnataka Home Minister K J George, city police chief M N Reddi and other senior officials rushed to the spot.
