National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval, has not been accorded the status of a Union Minister Of State, unlike his predecessors Brijesh Mishra, MK Narayanan and Shiv Shankar Menon. Doval has been put at par with the Principal Secretary rank, just a step above Cabinet Secretary, one step below an MoS. Sources say, Doval is upset.
