In Mumbai, senior Congress and NCP leaders meet. The Congress team is led by Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan, while the NCP is led by Praful Patel. The meeting will discuss a 'respectful' seat-sharing formula for the assembly election next month.

The Congress has offered 124 seats, while the NCP wants 144. Reports say the Congress is ready to raise its offer to 130 in a bid to save the 15-year alliance.
