Xi: We have decided to forge a close relationship for development

So, Chinese President Xi Jinping is now addressing the Indian Council of World Affairs. He says he is impressed by the developments he has seen in India. "I am back in India after a gap of 17 years and India's development is truly incredible. We have decided to forge a close partnership for development. Under Modi's leadership, India's people have more confidence in the future. India enjoys a splendid past and a spectacular future, he says.

"Deng Xiaoping had said Asia would progress if India and China come together. Buddhism has linked China and India for centuries. PM Modi has taught me that India and China are two bodies with one spirit." says Jinping.
