Modi arrives in Ahmedabad a day before Chinese PM's visit to city

PM Narendra Modi arrives in Ahmedabad. Modi was felicitated by Gujarat CM Anandiben Patel after he reached the city. This comes a day before Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to arrive in the state. The Gujarat government as well as BJP state unit are leaving no stone unturned to make this a grand occasion.

Jinping and his delegation including ministers and officers will land in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. His arrival in Ahmedabad is a departure from protocol as most foreign dignitaries begin their visit from Delhi.

Modi has personally supervised the staying and other arrangements for Jinping.
