Boundary issues will be discussed with Chinese president: MEA

PM Narendra Modi to host a private dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping, apart from the banquet President Pranab Mukherjee will be hosting for him on September 18. The MEA says the government sees Xi's visit as valuable for the progress of issues of interest to India and China.

Referring to Xi's visit to Ahmedabad, the MEA says agreements signed in Ahmedabad relate to that region.

On Chinese incursions, the MEA that sentinels on border will address issues on border. "We are confident that our borders are in safe hands. There are unresolved issues like the boundary issue, and that will be addressed."
