A governor exits without any fuss
September 15, 2014  17:17
Away from all the hullabaloo a governor has put in his papers quietly in order to avoid a media controversy, it is reliably learnt.

During his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi a hint was dropped that the governor may please meet a senior cabinet minister before he left for his Raj Bhavan in a north-eastern state.

Reliable sources say before the governor could exit 7 Race Course Road the concerned minister phoned him to ask him to rush to South Block. Where he was told that the government was unhappy with him -- since some crucial documents had surfaced about his son's business dealings with a kin of an Opposition leader. Leaving him with no option but to step down.
